The seminar ship “John Franklin”
The John Franklin is our newest seminar ship. The ship has a large upper deck, several cabins for overnight stays and a large kitchen. In addition to events, seminars, conferences and events, multi-day incentives can also take place here, as you can stay on the ship for a few days without any problems. The ship is currently being rebuilt, but events are already possible. The diesel engine is replaced by a sustainable electric motor. In the future, the energy requirement will be covered by a fuel cell and a solar system on the roof. In the future, the ship should also be CO2 neutral and 100% electric. In addition, the interior is being modernized so that the ship is ideal for events and seminars. The John Franklin has been on the road as a Wunderkammerschiff since 2016: a floating museum for children and young people, where older students explain the ship and its exhibits to younger students. With its 28m length and 5m width, the John Franklin is slightly smaller than our “Orca ten Broke”. Due to its size, it is ideal for small groups of up to 50 people. Boat trips through downtown Berlin, the Müggelsee or the Havel are particularly beautiful. In addition, it is possible to drive through the Berlin Landwehr Canal, as the John Franklin is low enough to drive through the narrow bridges.
